Any other plow trucks here?

Anybody else plowing?, let me see them. We havent gotten any snow here until yesterday so I finally had a chance to get out and make a few bucks, 12 hours of plowing!! I thought I would snap a pic after spraying off all the mag chloride.

Re: Any other plow trucks here?

thanks. i like your truck better! when we were slower this summer, one of my employees who used to work in a body shop, sprayed it white. i also tore the plow apart to fix some rust and paint it. i like the V's a lot. very versatile. i don't know that i will buy another straight blade. one of my guys drives this truck most of the time. right now i drive the F350 with a 9' straight blade. i'm the only one i trust with a setup that big.

Re: Any other plow trucks here?

Here is a buddy of mine’s truck back in Detroit that I was able to snap a picture of this past summer when I was out there for work meetings. Pretty clean ole truck for being a salt belt snow plow truck for 22 years. I am not sure what brand of plow it is but I think it is an older Boss. It almost looks like your truck Cochino.

When I first started into the automotive industry I spent 6 years living in Detroit before moving to the field and I must say…. Detroit is a really nice place to leave!

Re: Any other plow trucks here?

Thanks. Works especially good for tight areas. Only problem is it won't have a plow any more most likely. Truck is in the midst of a restoration and probably won't be exposed to the salt anymore like the past 10 years. Plow will end up being sold to fund some rediculous engine building or something, not sure yet.

Re: Any other plow trucks here?

Don't see too many plowing stepsides. Seems every 73-87 plow rig here is using a Fisher set up. Lots of nice trucks guys.

Re: Any other plow trucks here?

Yea stepsides are probably not common plow trucks at all. I run 300 pounds of salt pellets for my water softner unit in the rear for some extra weight. The truck isn't a daily driver, so it did just sit in the garage with the plow on most of the winter waiting for some white stuff. Now it just sits in the garage in a million pieces waiting for me to finish putting it back together.

84K30 military 6.2L diesel, recently fitted with dump body. 8.5' Fisher plow.

84K10, no trans at the moment, the plow is around somewhere...

79K15, was my grandfathers plow truck till he moved.

Re: Any other plow trucks here?

Here is my 68 k20 stepside. It has a Meyer snowplow rig which works great, but I am removing the plow equipment and putting the truck back to mostly original.

In my case the plow was $600.00 and the truck was thrown in for free!
