You guys are going to think I am crazy!

The last couple of nights since that 69 C-20 has been here...weird things have been going on. The first night I dismissed the happenings as kids in the neighbor hood messing around. I pulled it in backwards. I woke up and it was half way up the drive up against the stepper. Weird thing is I left it in 2nd when i parked it....and it was in 1st when I found it. I walked out yesterday morning and the radio was on. The keys werent in it. The minute I opened the door...the radio went off. I tried like he!! to get it to come back on...jingle the wires....hit the dash...slammed the door. Nothing. WTF? So I took the radio out. Stopped that problem. I looked out last night and the dome light was on....It didnt work when I got it. Walked out the front door and as I got to the front of the stepper....it went off. I went and kicked the cab...nothing...I jingled every wire in that truck and nothing. Ok enough of that crap! Out came the battery. Nothing happened this morning. I dont want to say I believe in this stuff...but I almost think thet damn thing was haunted.

"Bobby Bouche, That thing has the devil in it!!!" A little "Waterboy" quote. Slightly modified. If anything happens with the battery out, burn it to the ground. Oh and if the doors are in decent, I'll take my chances.

Check your wiring harness, most likely it is a short, water may be the culprit.

Right at this time...there is no wiring. I took it all out today with the whole front sheet metal. i dont think it will do anything...but if it does...I am calling a Priest!

Re: You guys are going to think I am crazy!

Probably a wiring short with the light and a mechanical adjustment with the trans.

But, if it's not then it's,

Some sort of mild exorcism might be in order. Sprinkle some holy water on it and hang a cross on the rear view mirror. Maybe a bible on the front seat. Put it all back together and see what happens.

These things develop a mind of their own sometimes. I had a car that sometimes wouldn't work when my wife would try to drive it. I would try it and it would always work like a champ. Go figure.

Now that you mentioned that...there was a cross hanging from the sunvisor on the right side. And a the book bible in the glove box...i took them out the afternoon I got the truck. Maybe the grandfather is mad at me now for removing those items.

Re: You guys are going to think I am crazy!

Thats spooky O_o. I'd put my money on private malone that sounds kinda like my dodge when i got it... the headlights and the horn and the radio and the entire dash cluster was messed up... i pulled the radio and replaced the dimmer switch and changed out the walmart battery for a duralast gold and she's fine. the gauges are fried now tho O_O

I wish I was kidding. This truck is parts...plain and simple. The cab is in too bad of shape. But the finale thought after 3 days of weird stuff going on is that it needs to be disassembled. The 396 and trans and cab is out tomorrow. Then i will take the bed off. Hopefully The weird stuff doesn't happen after I get the truck together in the garage. I guess there is a lesson to this....if it is covered in bible bomber stuff....then there has to be a reason for it.

Re: You guys are going to think I am crazy!

I work in real estate, & several years ago, I listed a house for sale that the owner swore up & down "was haunted."

We disclosed that the seller felt it was haunted, & the buyer knew about it, & said he didn't care.

He sold it within a year or so, & it's changed hands a couple more times since then .........
