Re: Muncie Swap????

Welcome to the board Mike. You're not too far from a good bunch of truck nuts. We are in Terrell...you'll have to cruise down sometime and check the gatherings out.

Do you have the clutch fork, clutch, throwout bearing, pedal, Z bar, shifter & crossmember yet?

Re: Muncie Swap????

Right...my buddy has a panel truck that came with an M21. It is a close ratio tranny and he has the regular hump. The high hump is a wide ratio M20 iirc.

Re: Muncie Swap????

I did the same, been in the ruck for about 5 years now. Mine was a 3 on a tree so all the linkage was there. Every thing should bolyt right up when you get all the parts mentioned. I uesed a car bellhousing the second time around. Alum. lighter than the truck steel. I also used a 1 pce. drv shaft but yours should hook right up if you want to go that route. I kept twisting Center supports. Good luck and if there is anything I can help you with gimme a shout. Good luck, Mike...

Re: Muncie Swap????

I've always wanted to put an M-21 in a 67-72.

I had one in my first truck (67 stepper). I used the three on the tree shifter for the four forward gears and a choke cable for reverse. It worked great if you didn't forget to put the shifter in neutral before pulling out the choke knob....
