Re: 5.3 SSR Engine Installed with 4L60E

Good link guys. I posted a new one without looking but 68 sent me these and his link. I have a complete 2004 lq9 6.0 liter with 4L65 trans with 44,000 miles off ebay. I bought what the wrecking yard called a hot rod conversion. I paid 2600 for the motor and 500 for the trans it also included all accessories, gas pedal and tak sensor, air cleaner box, maf sensor and tube, hoses, lines, pcm wiring harness, inj and engine covers, gas tank with pump, fill tube and cap, they also threw in both exhaust pipes with convertors and 4 02 sensors. The engine is for my 67 GMC shortbed fleet side. After too long in body shop is finished enough for me to install the engine. I Have a couple questions about where the motor mount plates came from and will the stocl exhaust mainfolds work? Thanks Fred

Re: 5.3 SSR Engine Installed with 4L60E

I just noticed that I never posted on this thread after I finished my truck in spring of 2012. here are some pics from last summer. I put 2800 miles on it and i really love it!! Upper left early april first cruise night with 20 miles on it, lower left annual "Large car" and car and truck show in home town Rantoul Il late July, upper right Indianapolis Goodguys speedway car show.lower right Engine compartment 04 LQ9/4L65 with stock engine cover. average gas mileage was 15-17 If I could keep my foot out of it it may even get 20?
