starter
help me. my starter keeps sticking on the flywheel and i have to use i a tire spoon to knock it loose so that i can start the truck. what could be the problem, starter and the solenoid are both less than 2 months old

well i went to the auto parts store and asked for a starter for an 350 chevrolet and that is what they gave me but my engine was rebuilt in 98 so could that have anything to do with it since i told them it was for a 71

Sounds like you need to shim it out a little. There should have been an 1/8 in. rod in the starter box for you to measure the clearance with. If its too close it will hang up like yours is. Get a set of shims at the parts store and start putting them in one at a time til its right. Good luck, Jeff.
