Sold the Cheyenne Super Today

I sold the 73 today . My wife has been wanting her parking spot back and letting me know about it so I listed it on ebay . I sold it to a man from Houston today . Before I sold it , I took some pics with my black 78 since I didnt have any of the pair .

Nice ride for the new owner. I would never be afraid to buy a truck from you. Hope you made a little profit.
Now what? 20's for the black truck? Restoration started on the blue '77?

That was such a beautiful truck, I hope he knows what he has.

I'm with lolife99... how's the other projects going?

Re: Sold the Cheyenne Super Today

I definitely need to do something with the 77 . I think some concrete for the barn floor is in the near future . An awning across the front also . This way I will be able to work on the trucks somewhere other than the garage . That way I wont be in the wifes way . Half of the barn is concreted already , just the other half and about a 20x48 front pad .

I was a little sad but since it wasnt a short bed , I let it go . I am glad the guy came to my house , test drove it for almost an hour , and knew exactly what he was buying . That is preferred over selling one site unseen because my definition of a clean original truck might not be what someone else is expecting .

By the way , I watched Old Yeller when I was a kid and teared up when he had to be put down .

I think he does . He was probably 60-65 years old , owns a pan off restored 65 Bug , and really liked the originality of the truck . He also paid good money for it so I think he will take care of it .

Re: Sold the Cheyenne Super Today

Has 4 inch drop leafs on the rear and another inch using the one inch hole in a set of shackles . Front has 2.5in Western Chassis drop spindles and what is suppose to be 1 inch drop springs .I think they are more because it is lower than the 3.5 front drop it totals out at . It is suppose to be a 3.5/5 drop .

Re: Sold the Cheyenne Super Today

The ride quality is good but you wont be hauling too much with the drop leafs . I hauled a set of rallys and tires and it didnt really squat it but that is all I have had in it .

Re: Sold the Cheyenne Super Today

well, i might stick to a shackle kit then. I sometime like to take the quad out to the dam and "play around". i think it weighs more than a set of rallys lol

Re: Sold the Cheyenne Super Today

Hate to see you have to sell such an original unmolested truck like that one. My wife has to currently park outside as well since I have lots of parts for my truck on her side of the garage right now. She doesn't say very much about it though since the house that I wanted had a 3 bay garage on it, and she wanted this one. Any time she starts to say anything about all my truck parts all I have to say is that she's the one that wanted this house, and it's game over! ...Joe

I saw that you had it listed. Didn't know if you were just testing the waters or what. Looks like you were serious. Glad to hear you got a good price for it.

A couple of the outside and one of the interior . The interior looks a little brighter in the photo but it is nice .

I'm glad you're happy with the sale and it sounds like you're in good shape for the future with the -sniff- barn, etc. Sometimes I wish I didn't live in the city.

Congrats on the sale. I really love that '73. Very original and unmolested. Sounds like you got some decent cash for it. That's good! Nice pics! Killer looking pair.

Damn I am sorry to see it go. But got to do what you got to do. Glad it went to a good home and that you got some money out of it. Good luck with the barn project!
