Anyone know Bed to frame bolt sizes?

Does anyone know where I can find out the correct size and lengths of the 8 bolts needed to mount my bed to my frame? And I know I need washers, lock washers and nuts. Thanks

Re: Anyone know Bed to frame bolt sizes?

I bought my replacement bolts at : www.gmcpauls.com. , as i could only find galvanized local. after i placed the order I saw some zinc coated at Tractor Supply. The size is 5/16 and the length is 4' . this is a carriage bolt.

Re: Anyone know Bed to frame bolt sizes?

I went to a fastener store and paid 4 bucks for 8 bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts. LMC wants 20 bucks and by the time I factor in the exchange and freight to Canada its way more than that. Thanks guys...you are a godsend as always

Re: Anyone know Bed to frame bolt sizes?

I belive the correct size for these bolts is 3/8-16 x 4" carriage bolts. I did at one time pull a steel floor bed apart that had 6 of these and 2 7/16" bolts? Go figure.

When I had my steel floor off, 6 of the originals were 3/8 and 2 were 7/16.

Re: Anyone know Bed to frame bolt sizes?

I'm kind of jumping in, but it's related. Does anyone know why the bed mounting washers have the hole offset? There's probably a reason. Also, have any of you used just normal washers with success? Thanks.
