1972 C10 complete body/chassis in SE MN USA

This truck came from Idaho, friend brought it to Minnesota but then lost storage. I bought from him, but since I haven't touched it for a year...

1972 C10 long fleetside, was 350 V8 with 4 speed, PS and PB. Engine/transmission have been removed and are not available. 3:73 rear end (non-posi).
Body is in good restorable condition, much nicer than what we usually find here in MN. Front clip is decent for rust, but non original (grapefruit yellow paint under the green). Cab needs rockers and some corner work, also drivers side outer floor patches. Some rust above windshield on drivers side, and a bigger spot above the passenger door.
Doors are nice, extra solid 72 only doors.
Box is nice, no rust-through on floor or sides. A couple dents inside, and a crease on passenger side near rear marker light.

Anyways, some pictures here:
http://picasaweb.google.com/challsta...y=mB6QBZrfusg#

$1500 complete with title.
I will part out some chunks:
bed with tailgate $650
front clip $350
cab with doors $600 (title goes with cab)
doors only $400/pair
cab w/no doors $250

Delivery available within a reasonable distance (200 miles?) of Rochester, MN.

Please respond in this thread, I will consider offers in order of response but offers for complete truck will be given preference.

Hey Robert,
I am not too keen on pulling the fenders off at this point. I can make you a package deal on the box and front clip.

I live just west of Rochester on hiway14. I will send you a PM with my contact info.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris
I would be interested in the wheels. They look like the pickup/suburban wheels off the late 80's but some are van wheels with more offset and a shallower dish on the front. Please let me know. Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark,
The wheels are factory mid-80s (84-87?), and I believe they are truck (not van). I can veryify if you can tell me what to look for?
They really aren't in too good of shape. They would need to be stripped and remachined to look really good.
If you need them, I would sell them for $100 for the set of 4. I have no center caps and the tires are junk (would have removed for shipping). Shipping shouldn't be too bad, 2 boxes 20x20x16 at 40 pounds from 55944 if you want to figure. Fed Ex ground seems to be most reasonable these days.

I would like to leave the truck as a roller until the big chunks are gone, so it would probably be spring? Its COLD here!!!

Chris

I'll take them and when you get to the point of non rolling you can let me know. I want to try and redo them myself (when it is warmer too) anyway as it cost about $75 a wheel to have them stripped, sanded, and polished out. I want to put them on my 84 GMC 2wd that my Dad left me. I had a set on it when it was near new and he wanted the 8" rallies and traded them off. I have a NOS set of GMC center caps to go on them. I would be happy to pay for them and we can figure shipping costs out in the spring. I also could get a measurement off a pickup wheel if you want to check? LMK, Thanks, Mark

No payment needed until they get shipped, but I will consider them as sold.
Do let me know if there are measurements I can get you to make sure they are truck and not van.
Thanks,
Chris

Re: 1972 C10 complete body/chassis in SE MN USA

Chris. On the front of the wheel, I laid a straight edge across the lip of the rim from one side to the other. I measured down to the face of the cap and it is about 3/4" below the rim line. I then measured without the cap from the face of the wheel center to that rim line and it was about 3 7/8ths. It does look correct with the wheel offset in your picture. Thanks, Mark
