OT Who carries leaf springs for cars
I'm trying to find good heavy duty rear leaf springs for my brothers 67 cougar and I'm not having any luck finding new springs. Anyone know of a supplier for new leaf springs?

Eaton Detroit spring. They manufacture springs for just about everything. I have a set of their '69 Z/28 4 leaf springs that have been de-arched 1" by them. Nice stuff and a good price. They also will custom make u-bolts and have other spring accessories.

There are 2 shops in Portland that can get/make them. Let me know if you're still looking.

I going to agree with jostrans68. If you can't find them new, I would go to Right Way spring. I have had some work done by them and they do quality stuff. They will only do stock, not lifts or lowering, but still worth it.

FYI I did a lot of shopping around and the absolute cheapest place to buy leaf springs is ESPO springs/ They have a website . www.espo.com.
For 5 leaf heavy duty leafs for a big block 68 cougar I paidthe wopping sum of $150. Thats half what everyone else wanted.

Thanks for the link to those guys. Did you call Eaton/Detroit? I paid $145 for the pair of Z/28 leafs, but that was at least 3 years ago.
