Rear diff cover from Jegs
I bought the Jegs read differential cover part# 720-9895 for my 12 bolt. The chrome bolts that came with it are to long, i.e. they bottom out. Jegs can’t find any thing shorter to send me. Do I have something odd? Any ideal as to what’s up with this? Thanks.

Re: Rear diff cover from Jegs
I have no idea how Mr.gasket sized your bolts - run the the local hardware and buy some washer head bolts that are serrated on the heads - they should be zinc plated silver and should work fine for you

Re: Rear diff cover from Jegs
I'd just use a sander or bench grinder to knock a little off of the length.

Re: Rear diff cover from Jegs
make sure there isnt any gasket material/sealer in the threads.. this could also cause it.

Re: Rear diff cover from Jegs
I'm with TX Firefighter. Trim off a few rounds of threads off the end of the bolts. Or pick up some correct length Stainless bolts and polish up the heads a bit.

Use a vice and a bandsaw or manual one.
