Track Width
I have a 9" rearend located for my 70 c10 but, it is only 58" from axle flange to axle flange. Is this too narrow? When I measured my truck outside drum to outside drum is 64".

Re: Track Width
You're in the ballpark...stock backing plate to backing plate on 67-70 12 bolt was 57", I think, and 71-72 are 58.5".

Re: Track Width
Well, it sounds like it is about 6 inches narrower than the stock rearend. Is that fine with you ? Are you prepared to deal with wheel width and backspace changes as well as modifying your bed and wheel tubs ?

Re: Track Width
Like TX said,it won`t work w/o the narrowed rear treatment to the truck.Figure 4" +/- backspace with factory rear.To run that rear you`d be at about 2".I wouldn`t want that.

Re: Track Width
I'm planning on a 6" static drop and 12 to 14 wide wheels in the rear for more of a pro street look. Do you think the width will be a problem with this setup?

Re: Track Width
You`ll need to do a back half/tub job.
