3 on the Tree falls out of Second
I have been having an issue with my truck falling out of 2nd gear lately. It is a three speed on the column. When I put it in 2nd with the clutch in it will sometimes "fall out" before I can let the clutch out and then I have to put it into third and then back into 2nd to keep it from grinding. Once it is in gear it will stay there, but it seems like it is too loose and I have to hold it in second until the clutch is completely released so it doesn't pop out. Is there an adjustment somewhere that will tighten it up?

Re: 3 on the Tree falls out of Second
Sounds like the detent spring may be weak/broke in the side cover also, you might try tightening the shift quadrant up at the base of the column. There are three 7/16 head bolts at the base of the column, loosen them then take a big pair of channel locks and rotate the collar (can't remember which way) slightly to take the slack out and retighten the three bolts.
