Re: bunch of ?'s and a tale of my junkyard adventures..
For your gauge light hook them on the cluster feed. They will come on and dim just like your dash lights. You can hook your volt meter to the ign. unfused. Fused is your choice, the voltmeter will have no load on it.

Re: bunch of ?'s and a tale of my junkyard adventures..
so voltmeter to ign. unfused (no need to fuse it because, as you say, it has no load)
guage lights, hook them to the cluster, when you say cluster, you mean like the speedo, gas guage, and idiot lights/turn signals? thanks!

I was gonna buy a brand new windshield on CL a few months ago for $50. Seemed like a deal. I can get one made locally for $50 though.

Leave them for someone who NEEDS the parts and not just trying to make a quick buck. Greed is why we are in a recession.

Greed is why we are in a recession.[/quote] While I agree with you in principle yammie, your telling me that if you happened upon a set of buddy buckets or some extreme bend tow hooks in the junkyard you wouldn't snag them up? I know I certainly would if for nothing else so I could support my truck parts habit.

To be perfectly honest I don't know exactly what buddy buckets are. I know they are bucket seats which I have no use for with two kids. I wouldnt have even thought that tow hooks would be worth any. If I ever come across some I'll snag them and send them to you.

Ok, I thought they were true buckets. Ill keep my eye open for parts but I'm in houston and old chevys are rare in junk yards around here.
