Re: original base price

My 72 plain jane c/10 was $2254 in 1972. It came standard with a 307 V-8 and 3 on the tree transmission. It has no options.

Note the lighter and radio deletes are still in place.

Yeah, I got lazy when it started sticking I should have lubed it but didn't. I broke it about 2 weeks before that picture was taken.

Yeah it's plain and simple. I bought a power steering box to put on it but won't until I can't steer it anymore.

Re: original base price

I have a copy of the Truck Data Book for '69. It has base prices, dealer markup, shipping, and specifications for C/K series 10-30, including every option that was available from the factory. It's dated April 1. 1969. No, it's not an April Fool joke.

My 69 K20 and 70 K5 are both that way. The middle leaver controls the fan speed.

^^^

I'm a dork. mines that way as well. why was I thinking that the fan was controlled by a separate vertical switch to the left. guess I was picturing an a/c setup.

now back to the discussion.......
