1960 Guage cluster

Ok guys heres one for you, Im wiring my buddys 1960 3/4 ton with a new ez wiring kit, everythings going smooth so far but I think im going to run into a snag. Im at the point where I am trying to wire up the factory cluster and I was wonmdering if any of y`all would have a wiring diagram of the guage cluster, (ammeter, temp speedo and fuel guages)
Also I noticed theres light holes that say tandem axle and I think gear shift? did 3/4 tons share the same cluster as a dually/1 1/2 ton and just wired differently?
The wires that are throwing me mainly is the light that has the pink and dark blue coming for it. whats that for?

Ps: in case you need it, 383 stroker hei (gm) 3 wire alt, under 80 amps, electric fan, fuse box in factory location, relocated fuel cell, 78 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 chasis swap with 6" susp and 3" body lift. Ill take pics and try to post.

Re: 1960 Guage cluster

The "tandem lock", and "overspeed "lights could be found in almost all the clusters, my 65 1/2 ton has them, they are just not wired up, but you can faintly see them from residual light when the lights are on.

I do have 2 different types of the 60-63 standard cluster... one only has the provision for 1 blinker light, so I just wired up the right and left signal to it, its kind of cool, no matter whichway you go, there is only 1 indicator... the other standard cluster has 2 blinks, and the warning lights.

Do you have a standard cluster, or deluxe? they are different-deluxe has guages.

..0.. -standard
.'0'. -deluxe

Re: 1960 Guage cluster

thanks 4dranch that was what I needed! after along weekend I about got all the dash cluster figurred out thanks to the diagram.
conzcustom: This one actually has guages, an ammeter and a temp guage, and oil pressure guage. so because it has the temp guage and a dummy light for oil sender, where does the oil sender light go to? (dark blue and pink wires) oh yeah, only one turn signal indicator on this one too
