Someone recently hit and damaged the left side of my 68 longhorn bed.
If I wanted to replace the damaged bed side, can I replace it with a regular
8 feet side bed? The 6" panel of the bed is not damaged. I want to know if I can use the 8' side bed and attach it to the 6" panel.

Yes,it`s the exact same panel.I recall your truck,what a shame!Did you end up painting it and now this?That`s where my memory is foggy.It was ochre,if my 1/2 memory isn`t failing me.

I'd be more inclined to have a body shop pull that out and repaint if necessary, seems like that would be way easier.

I agree 100% thats not that hard to fix. it will be alot less expensive. The last time I had to pay a company to put a bedside on a truck.It came close to $1200 at a dealer.

A run of the mill body man could get that straight easily... a good body guy could get it done with minimal filler.

It may or may not help, but if you get some suction cups you may be able to somewhat pull out part of it. It may not help alot but I would say its worth a try. Just my 2 cents.

How did I miss another '68 50th Anniversary Longhorn so close to me???? Where did you buy that truck? There was one for sale in Salem a while back but I thought the guy painted it. There was one for sale in Albany too but it was really trashed...and a nice one in Tacoma? Help me out here. I will be in Salem next weekend to visit the MIL.

That bed is an easy fix with a Spritznagel. What was the question about the No-Spin decal. My Longhorn has the same sticker and it was installed at the dealer. I have all the orginal documentation with it as well.

BTW...I have a spare nearly perfect bed if they try to hold you up on the repair.
