I'm not a transmission person but here's a bump for you.

All I've done is replace fluid and filters. Many years ago I did fix the only problem I've had with a 350. It was the vacuum modulator gone bad.

My brother had a problem with his where the flywheel/flex plate broke. He was able to hear the noise when it happened.

Were there any stange noises? You may have to drop the bottom pan to see if the filter is restricting the flow or maybe see some metallic parts in the pan bottom...

Good luck.

All you can check (as far as I know) is make sure the converter is bolted to the flex plate & make sure the flex plate isn't shattered. After that, you are looking at dropping the tranny and having it rebuilt/replaced.
No fluid flow is the key, your pump isn't pumping.

Yep, sounds like a bad front pump. That should be relatively cheap to fix.

Re: th 350 stoped workin

If you have not replaced the filter...I would drop the pan and check that. I have had them so clogged that it would take about 10 minutes before they developed enough pressure to even move!!!! Made for a scary moment when I accidently left it in gear in the shop and went to get a tool...turned back to see it creep forward into the bench and put a nice crease in the hood...OUCH!!! The really scary thing was I had just walked between the truck and bench...nice wake-up moment!

Re: th 350 stoped workin

you didn't mention the recent work.
i would drop the pan and see if the filter (which doubles as a pickup) is still secured to the valve body.
The pump may still be bad, but I would start there.
