Good TBI combo?

Holley TBI + Vortech TBI manifold + Vortech heads = good combo?

Anyone running this set-up?

I already have the vortech heads, and the manifolds are becoming more readily available. Will I have to have the ECU chip reprogramed or will everthing bolt right up and run smooth?

Is the Holley TBI a replacement or stand alone system?

Should just be a replacement for the factory TBI. But they have TBI systems for Carb replacements.

yeah holley does make just a factory replacement, but in a lot of researching and talking to a few racers, they said that the holley TBI is identical in performance to just putting 454 injectors on the stock TBI. Works even better some said, so to waste money on a holley TBI isnt the way to go in my book, you can get brand new injectors for about 125, and the snap right in where the old ones were. The GMPP tbi vortec manifold is very nice. And the heads kick ass. I am very happy with the power they produce.

87gmc, did you have to use a reprogramed chip for the 454 injectors?
