Laying frame on 22's and dropmember ????
I recently bought a KP components step notch and have finally decided to break down and get a dropmember (next time Nathan has a sale). I completely missed the sale in Dec. I currently have 18's all the way around, but plan to eventually switch to 20's in the front and 22's in the rear.
My questions are: Can I lay the rear frame on 22's using the stock trailing arm architecture (I plan to build a new set of arms out of 2x3 tubing)? I want the front and back to sit even, so how much lift will I get with the dropmember and ART arms? Where do I mount the bags to get the same lift in the rear? Lastly, I do have a triangulated four link, which I could use, but it seems like it would be more trouble to install because I want to stick with the original 12 bolt rear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I plan to install the notch this weekend, but want to make sure I lay it our right for airspring placement etc.

I don't forsee another "sale" like we had at the end of the year... as of March 1st we will be seeing a price increase on the Dropmember. So hey, it's actually ON SALE right now! If you use the trailing arm architecture in the rear, you will encounter some trailing arm to frame clearance issues in front of the factory spring location. You may need to step or notch the frame in this area. I would run a sleeved bag over the axle to achieve a similar travel range as the front (when Dropmember equipped).

Re: Laying frame on 22's and dropmember ????
Well, it looks like you will be getting a call soon. I will have to scrape my pennies together.
Nathan, I have heard the ride is not as good when you run the bags on top of the axle. Would there be any advantage to run the bags off the bottom of the rearend and off the front of the notch or would it be the same? Thanx for the reply, if I am going to end up running the bags over the axle, I will probably figure out a way to mount the upper bars to the rearend and use the triangulated 4-link.

Nathan, What bags would you recommend? Would the triple convoluted bags be any better than the rolling sleeve?
What is the best way to order the dropmember, call, PM, or e-mail?
