Recovering a Bench Seat Cost
I got a quote for the guy down the street to recover my bench. $300. Does this sound fair? I want to get a couple others... but until then, let me know if you think its worth it.

Re: Recovering a Bench Seat Cost
That's pretty reasonable. We had two very old chairs that had been in my wife's family for three generations recovered recently. We bought the leather online (Ebay, to be exact!) and our local upholstery shop did everything else. Labor for the two was about $600 including some intricate work and brass tacks.

Re: Recovering a Bench Seat Cost
I was quoted at $250 per bucket seat so that is a very good price.

Re: Recovering a Bench Seat Cost
I just paid 510.00 to hae my seat re covered and the door panel inserts done in the same material. He also put extra padding on the lower seat foam to make the seat firmer.

yup sounds just like what i got quoted at to do mine. Course with foam work. The foam is what really eats the money.

Re: Recovering a Bench Seat Cost
Thanks Chris.. I think I'll have it done locally.. Sounds like a good price and if anything happens he can fix it up.. I've known him for 20 years and he's always done great work.
