77 stepside
Hi guys im new too this site and i was just wondering if anyone could help me out with my front crossmember i cant afford the drop member. i wish i could but im stuck with ether z'ing the frame or raising the crossmember if anyone could help me out in my choice any help would be very appreciated thanks Chris

they are old American racing mt 2's they have been siting around my garage for as long as i can remember

Do you have the skills and tools to do either option? Will you have to pay someone to do the work, or the welding? Give a few more details and we can offer better advice.
In general, a raised sectioned crossmember would be my choice if you just want that extra 1.5". You don't have to pull the motor if you suspend it from a hoist while changing out the crossmember. I personally do not recommend a Z unless you are very skilled at welding.

i have the skills and the tools too do eather. how far do i have too go too make the truck lay out even? if i can get away with just raising the crossmember id like too do that. thank you for your help
