Things that make you go.....huh!!!!

Ive started tearing down my blazer to replace the engine, ant the things that Ive found that the PO did!!! wood screws holding the distrubutor cap, speaker wire going from the neg. of the battery to the antenna, but the thing that got me was when I removed the air intake plemen and found a bullet casing, makes you wonder

Somebody must have told them by putting a bullet on the motor,they'll get more bang for their buck.

WOW! I found a cigarette butt and lock washer in the valley once. Yep It was rebuilt alright.

no lie, in high school shop class we had "one of those guys". he was a cocky know-all. we all had to do an engine tear down and rebuild. he was doing an old 289 and every time he left for a bathroom break I would take a socket from his signed out tool kit and stuff it in the crankcase or where ever. at the end of the week we did tool inventory and he was short about $80 in tools. teacher made him pay. then on Monday we took turns starting our engines. needless to say his made some BAD noises. lots of knocking and rattling made the teacher give him a "D". then we all watched as him and teach tore it down to see what he "did wrong". the look on his face was priceless. there was bent rods, broken piston skirts, mangled push rods etc. the teacher said nothing but he knew what happened (he didnt like the guy anyway).

I guess that is shop justice. I hope the guy/girl learned. I don't know about destroying and motor to prove a point, but to each his own.

Too bad about the engine..I think the teacher should have stood a little taller though.
