Question Rear Bumper swap?

Has anyone tried a 88-91 chrome step bumper on a 81-87. The diamond top on my 85 painted step bumper is rusting out. So I will have to do something at some point. I like the looks of the 88-91 chrome step bumpr. They are more like a split in styling between a sport and a step bumper. With as inventive as some of the guys here are I thought someone must have tried before me. Anyone?

Re: Rear Bumper swap?

I don't know about that but have yall seen the rear bumper on the new 2009 Dodge Ram, it has recesses on both sides for dual exhaust, I could see that ending up on some projects,

Bigblazerboy. What did you have to do to get it to fit. Were you able to use the brackets that came with it or did you use the ones from the truck?
