Progress pics, 70 swb
finally I will post some progress pics.
I finally got the correct spindles for 1.25" thick rotors. just put the spindles, springs, upper and lower control arms, rotors, calipers, pads, and front shocks on. finally its back on all 4 wheels, its alot eiasier than rolling it with the floor jack holding the front of the truck. i got all of my steering parts, paint dring on them right now. anyway heres some pics, in the garage. |

thanks for the compiliments,
as far as paint goes, I ground down all the surface rust, applied about 2-3 coats of rust oleum rusty metal primer, then used rustoleum satin black (7777) I used this paint on my 82 gmc when i did the suspension and dropped it, and it worked good, and it is relativly inexpensive also. i get it at Home Dpeot, they have it in rattle cans or by the quart. tommie |

your right,
no room to walk around truck in garage, step 1 is to pull truck out of garage into driveway for anything. thats why i am so glad to actually have wheels on the front of it again, it was a lot harder rolling it out with it on the floor jack. rolling on tires is much easier. all of my steering linkage is dring outside right now. will be nice to have all the tie rods, center link, and idler arm back on. it feels good to make progress. tommie |

the tie rod adapters seem to work ok, have not fully installed them yet, test fit one side, took back apart to paint tie rods and idler arm.
will know for sure this weekend. the 70' outer is used as an inner, because it has reverse threads, it is what makes the sleve work. tommie |
