Vacuum advance adjustment question
I'm having problems and have no instructions for the modulator I installed. When turn the adjustment screw inside the modulator, which way advances or retards the timing? Right now I'm at 45* total advance, 10* initial and 22* mechanical, and need to get the total down.

Crane advance can? If you turn it CC, it will back the vac advance off quicker. try about 2 turns at a time till the spark rattle disapears, but dont go past 10 turns.......you will loose the adjuster screw(been there, & done that!) good luck, crazyL

Thanks, Crazy. I was trying 1/4 turns, not near enough. Took 5 turns to get it down to 36*.
