matching numbers trucks
I had a 1972 corvette with a 454 eng that had a series of numbers on the front pad that matched up with no's in the VIN. Were these trucks ever stamped the same way?

Re: matching numbers trucks
No - just the relevant year. In other words, it's impossible to verify if you have the original engine through serial numbers.

Re: matching numbers trucks
Just the engine codes. No VIN numbers on the truck engines.
