72 C-10 Rear Brake Hose Problem

I have a problem guys. I have a rear end out of a 71 in my truck now. Everything else on my truck is original. I am trying to replace a section of the hard brake line and replace the rubber hose from the rear end. The rear in the truck now has a bracket attached to the front of the passenger side housing tube. On this bracket is a brass T style fitting that allows each side's brake line to attach and the hose to T into it. It also has a hole to screw the T to the bracket. I try to stretch this hose to the bed of the truck where is is supposed to mount and meet up with the hard line and it simply is too short. With the hose pulled up to the location it should mount it is pulled absolutely tight with no slack in the line. It needs approximately 8" more hose to allow for shock travel. Anyone ever had this problem? I looked up a new hose and it is the same part # for a 71 and 72. What are my options guys? Anyone know a part number for this hose that will be approx. 8" longer. I attached a picture of the T fitting to give everyone an idea of what it looks like. PLEASE HELP!!

You will get better info if youpost info on your truck.Is it 4X4,2wd,lifted,what year,power brakes(probably doen't matter)?

It is a 1972 Chevy C-10 SWB 307 2-wheel drive with power disc brakes on the front, drums on the rear. It has its original ride height. The rear end is from a 1971 Chevy donor truck.

The 72 truck rear pipe comes through the rear cross member and the 71 comes out in front of the rear cross member. You have a couple of options- the 72 pipe is junctioned at some point near the cross member,#1 you can remove the rear pipe and see if hose will reach, #2 replace the front to rear pipe with a new 71 type or #3 cut, replace the nut and reflare then use the 71 mount, #4 remove the bracket, replace the pipes along the axle with new 72 prebent or bend your own and use the bracket off your old 72 rear end (bolts to the housing). Ok. Thanks for the info. Is there any vehicles out there that would use this style rubber hose with this type fitting but only a longer hose? Is a one off custom hose the only option as far as a direct bolt on fix?

take the old hose into a good autoparts store ,i prefer napa or carquest give it to the guy at the counter and tell him you need the same thing but Xamt longer

Guys, believe it or not no stores around here would make me a hose. I even went to Rough Country where they specialize in lifts, etc. and nada........So, got on line and found a Napa in Wisconsin that would do it for me.....$50 bucks later its en route....My local Napa wouldn't make me one....Go figure...anyways, just an update.

I have stainless braided hoses on my blazer. I think that if you contacted Russell products, they could supply a hose, and a couple of fittings to accommodate you. I an not sure, but think they have the ability to build to suit. I personally love the stainless lines for the brake feel. I have 3 on my Blazer, and had 3 on my 67 Chevelle.
