radiator support swap questions
when taking off the radiator support to change it with a non rusted one... can i leave the radiator hooked up still because i really dont feel like wating all the coolant.. could i just put it on top of the engine... i think i got enough hose.... or is that a big no no

I would say there's not enough hose plus you would need to remove the fan. I think ultimately you would end up messing up you radiator.
Your best bet is not take any short cuts. (IMO) s/t

I have done this on later model trucks, you should be fine leaving radiator hooked up. I would remove the shroud, might consider the fan too. Put an old rubber floormat between the engine and radiator to protect rad fins, could use a ratchet strap around the rad back to the hood hinges to hold the rad back out of way....just a few ideas, I wouldn't drop the coolant unless I absolutely had too. Good lucl on switching it out!
