'86 K5, need help
My buddy wants a K5, I think he likes mine lol. I found one nearby for $400 and he may go down. The downside of a price like that, it had a 6.2 diesel, engine removed but everything else there. Body looks good and so do the front seats, for that price. My question is, how hard to get a 305 in there? I happen to have a decent one I'd about give him. Would be bad for a cheap offroad starter rig.

It's bolt in if you have all the parts from a donor truck. If the body is solid then go for it.

I have the engine in a 83 chevy lw. I don't know if the mounts would be different, or the 350t. Truck is about 50 miles from me. I'll post a pic. I'm on my iPhone now. I think it'd be a good truck brought back to life. It's a GMC, was the GMC a full size jimmy K5, or did it have different. Numbers like the S-10 and GMC S-15? Just curious lol.

It would be a fullsize Jimmy. Same as a K5. Behind the 6.2 was normally a T400 trans. You might have to change out some of the fuel delivery system, and flush the tank out. But a 305 with a carb will be an easy swap.

the motor mounts may be different on the frame other than that should directly bolt in i am moving this to the blazer forum however
