6.0L swap headers questions???

Anyone know what are some good headers to use on a 5.3 or 6.0 swap into a 85 2wd? I've seen the s&p headers, but was wondering if anyone knew of any others that might be out there... Thanks

I have the s&p, wok great. I have seen several guys use the pacesetter fbody long tubes. They can be made to work...
I do know fbody 98-02 manifolds will work, even "heard" ssr manifolds will work.

Re: 6.0L swap headers questions???

Thanks. I'm looking for a header made specifically for that application so there is no hacking on the truck. Is there any others besides the S&P's like that? Anyone hear if the Thorley Tri-y headers ever came out?

Are you wanting Long Tubes? If so, right now no one has them, but BRPHotrods are getting some made. I have their mid lengths on mine now, but they have the same issue with clearing the 4L80E "ears". They are going to be made by Headman Hussler.

Re: 6.0L swap headers questions???

What about a mid length or shorty? Who currently makes them. I know a lot of people are using 2000 Fbody but is there anything else?

Are the S&P headers mid length? Do they hang below the frame?

Do the BRP headers fit good and have any clearance issues or hang below the frame? I'm running a 4l60E behind the 6.0.

And if you both don't mind me asking what are the prices on these... trying to compare the good with the bad.

I would consider them mid leangth, and no they dont hang past the frame rail. You still have to cut the ears off the 4l80e. they run about 500

Re: 6.0L swap headers questions???

The BRP Headers are about $450 and they don't hang down below the frame rail, they are 21" long The will fit 4L60E's without issues.
