BBC Horsepower Estimate
I am currently building a big block and was wondering if I could get some input on how much power it will make. Here is a list of specs:
468ci -10:1 compression -stock crank and rods -1969 427 vette heads (ovals) 3919840 casting numbers -- 2.19 int. & 1.88 exh. valves with some port work and bowl blending -hydraulic cam with .575/.575 lift and 306 total duration on a 108 lobe center -RPM Performer Air Gap Intake-Edelbrock (dual plane) -Holley 800cfm double pumper I'm thinking in the 500 range, but you never know. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Re: BBC Horsepower Estimate
Ya you sound like you are in the 500 range but what heads do you have. with a desent set of heads you should be making well over 500 close to 550 and of course it will be a torque monster bc of the big CI

The heads I have are similar to the 781 heads. Thanks for the input.
