I found me a new toy...

I think I found me a new truck to take the trash in.. It's a 79 chevy pickup 400.00 o.b.o. short bed . 6 cyclinder , 3 speed on the floor and yes it does run and drive. I know my son is just 5 but I am thinking this would be a good dad and son project, I have been looking for a in line 6 SWB 73-79 for about 8 weeks now. I will let you all know if I get it or not, I am thinking a lot of work, but Like I said my son is just 5 so I have 10 years..

Looks ruff, but it also looks like a fun project!

I love my 77 6 cylinder truck, so simple and it doesn't make me want to pour the money into it my 73 does.

Good luck on the project, your son will love it!

Id say go for it if the frame is in good shape and the cab doesn't need much attention. Everything else can be fixed quiet easily.

Looks like a fun truck to own. One of those you can just hop in and take off, and not worry about anything happening to it. The only thing bad about having 10 years to work on it is by the time he's ready to drive you won't want to let it go!

Well I did not get the truck, the floor was out of it and I was thinking to much work. And that was not what I wanted, I found a sweet 78 SB with all the trim on it and looks to be stock as a clock. It has been sitting for 8 years and I would love to ask him if he would sell it. So I may do that..
