My info indicates that in 1972 Chevy production was:
1736 stepsides and 6069 fleetsides with115 inch wheelbase and 4x4. It does not break production #'s down any further. The book I have is called: Chevrolet Pickups 1946-1972 By John Gunnell ISBN0-87938-282-1
