Need a new radiator,... who should I buy from?
I need a new radiator for my '69 swb project.
I bought a new radiator for my '71 blazer a few years ago from an online radiator website. I was less than pleased. I need a 4-core with the correct curved lower neck,... that will help the lower hose clear the frame. I don't want a high dollar ALUMINUM radiator,... just a well built copper/brass 4-core. Where should I spend my money? Board Vendors step up,... or any other suggestions would be great. Thanks.

you can get a 4 row rad from autozone of all places pretty cheap.
And for the record, you go into a rad shop talking about a four core rad, they'll laugh at you. Possibly behind your back, but they will laugh. |

Have you considered having your old radiator recored at a reputable local shop?

I bought this one, and it's cheaper at oreilly's... like original and no plastic... has auto cooler lines openings which are plugged if you have a manual.
433369 proliance radiator under $200 http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/Displ...¤tPage=0 $229 at summit http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku $208 at www.rockauto.com just search for your truck and it comes up..

I purchased mine from Autozone and it does have the correct curved lower neck. It was $178 in stock with a lifetime warranty.

Re: Need a new radiator,... who should I buy from?
I agree with all the other's on autozone. With tax and some antifreeze I paid about $210 for mine. I got an automatic 4 row one for a 72 and they had it in stock! It's been in the truck for about 2 years. I also bought an automatic 3 row from them back in '02 and it worked great in the truck until 07 when I installed a vintage air A/C kit and it couldn't keep up with the A/C on.
