brew8,
Looks to be a pretty solid truck. It doesn't look like it spent it's whole life in Montana. Any progress on your truck? Here are more. |

Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.
Mines coming along, I'll post some more pic's later, the bed is disassembled and off to the sand blaster, the whole front clip is ready to prime, I finished all the body work on the cab, I also started prepping the hood, I bought one and the old paint is pretty bad so it's taking some time to remove i don't like sand blasting a hood too much chance to warp it, it also has some type of tar paper on the inside for heat shield and I have been removing that, lot's of fun.

Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.
I've got a few pics of I've taken over the past year, the first two are of a 65 I saw at a local cruise in the body was grafted over an early 90's swb, they kept the fire wall and floor board from the newer truck including the dash, also the inside of the bed was the newer truck pretty cool the way it turned out. The last pic is a poor sad truck I found at a junkyard in Vermont, pretty cool to get to go junkyarding on vacation!

For those of you that have not been over to the Photoshop forum. Check out the work of Photoshoppers 19GMC63 (first 4 pics) and LONGHAIR (last pic). They turned these in to crew cabs. The first one was from my C10 2 wheel drive long bed. This is my favorite, which one do you like best?

That right there is the truck that should have been. The red one in the last pic is my fav. But I really like the first blue one too.

Stop showing these pictures! You`re making me want another!
I know Arizona has the most rust-free stuff and all and they definately have the most clean 60-66 4wds.I`m not talking just now that others have rotted away.!`m talking 30 years ago when I was there I saw the most beautiful ones I have ever seen.I even had one.

Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.
yeh, myne didnt spend its life in az. well at least not most of it. it was rusty and still needs some minor floor patching. but long hours spend on the body to make it rust free. and no, this isnt a hot rod flats paint job. i used white sealer and tinted it with orange, red, yellow, and black car paint to make it that color. good thing i work at a chevrolet dealership and they didnt knotice that missing paint

Re: Post pics. Lets see how many 60-66 4x4 are out there.
Yeah, you can pinch a little sealer easier than finish.I like tinting primer with the color I`m painting.Scratches look better.
