Re: Need help removing window...
I've taken several out and reinstalled them with the original gasket, just did this with my 68 to remove the cab with the lift I used. I'm guessing you want to save the gasket, old gaskets dry out and rip easily so if it is in bad shape you may need a new one. Start in one of the top corners and pull the inside lip of the gasket back while applying pressure on the glass, all you want to do is get the edge of of the gasket on the other side of the pinch weld and work your way across the top of the window to the opposite corner. You can use a hook tool or screw driver to help get it started, glass tools for this are plastic. Once you get the top edges out the rest is easy, the back is tempered glass and can take much more pressure than the laminated windshields before breaking. If your gasket is dry rotted and you're using a new one just cut it out.

Re: Need help removing window...
Sounds easy, what about the front window. The seal is reuseable if I don't damage it?

Re: Need help removing window...
The front works the same way, start from the inside on a top corner and work across the top to the other corner. I would start with the back glass, the windshield will break much easier than the back glass - the windshield should come out easy if there hasn't been any type of sealant applied between the gasket and the pinchweld. Just take your time and don't push too hard, will work best if it is not too cold out also.

I agree...You think they are good until you compare them to a new one or play hell trying to put the glass back in with stiff rubber. Its time and money well spent for new.

You can buy those for about $30 each from most suppliers. I say cut it out.
