Re: Ebay...NOS Cargo Lamp Assembly $695.00

He`s right about buying up all the N.O.S. lights for $69.95 he can.He could make $30 to $80 of of each one.If he bought 10 for $695 he could make between $300-$500 off his investment.Although,if he flooded Ebay the price would drop like a 401K.

My thoughts exactly. My 72 has this and i got to thinking man i have had my dash completely apart and i never seen any switch for this. Must be one of them fancier optioned pieces.

I totally despise people like that guy. He is one of those who puts stuff on there for a mint, hoping for a sucker. There are quite a few like him on eBay, I just hope it ends up costing him more than its worth...wonder how many times he has had to relist it.

Re: Ebay...NOS Cargo Lamp Assembly $695.00

There are three rules of selling we must acknowledge.

1. You can ask whatever you want for things you want to sell.

2. EVERYTHING is worth exactly what you can sell it for.

3. If you don't price things reasonably, you will eventually be operating a museum rather than store.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Like I posted earlier, I have seen this listing on Ebay for a couple of YEARS now...I just laugh when it pops up in my search. I can always count on it being there

Re: Ebay...NOS Cargo Lamp Assembly $695.00

Yeah so you can turn on the "cargo light" I doubt it is worth more than the $100 or so mentioned, even camaro guys aren't retarded, completely that is! NOS gets folks envisioning $$$$ signs, if it was a rare piece sure, but a cargo/backup light?? NOT!!

Hurry before May 1st.Postage goes up.

Wait! I`m building a`67 and they never had these...Darn!!!
I`m glad I did my research! I should let him know.

Someone should hit "Buy it NOW!",then back out on misrepresentation by seller.

He can`t sell it as Camaro. It`s worth less because it comes with the truck harness and switch as well as cargo light install instructions.
Even for a Camaro,it`s only one out of two needed. Why pay all that to still need another?$1,400 into two backup lamps is a bit out of range even for a rare Camaro.Good look finding the other one to match it.It`s a broken set and leaves a rare part yet to find. When you have the whole ball off wax, then you have something.
Sorry, old thread, but was doing some research on what I got, just picked up a complete OEM assembly off Ebay for $850($85). All but the lens & housing to cab hardware suits any build.

Researched for a lens and that, Camaro & so forth, so I'm going to be rich. Found an NOS lens for $220 ($22). Replacement gasket, housing mount hardware runs $200.

I'm opening at $1500 considering inflation, plus shipping & maybe another 150 just for insurance Honestly I thought about installing one in my 71 but probably won't at this point, it's nice to have the option. Came out of ideal conditions for sure, it's hard to believe the cab mount H/W came off the same truck but I think they did. This is the old lens, just ordered the $220 lens I'm in $130ish to sit in a free box.
