Lightbulb Exhaust Opinion

Okay folks...if you were to design a dual exhaust system for a 71 LWB with a ZZ502 and 3.07 gears what would go with? Would it be 2.5" or 3 inch pipes? Flowmaster 2 chambers, Magnaflows?

This is not a daily driver...and the tailpipes exit under the bumper...I already have the tips.

Gimme your thoughts!!!!!!

Of all my favorite things to do, The utmost is to have a brew.
My love grows for my foamy friend, with each thirst-quenching elbow bend.
Beer so frosty, smooth, and cold it's paradise pure liquid gold.
Yes beer means many things to me that's all for now cus I gotta pee.

I think on a BB that size ,you could run 3" pipe from the headers to the mufflers, & use an H or X pipe. You will probably want a little longer body muffler, like a Hemi superturbo, or something compairable to keep the noise down a bit. (BB's are loud with short muffs). Magnaflow would also be a nice muffler, or you might look at some of the Borla muffs. The flowmasters dont really flow as well as some of the others. At the rear, you could cut the pipe size to 2 1/2" to help keep it a little quieter, & shouldnt loose too much on flow. good luck, crazyL

I'm going with 3" with Borla on my 454. I did alot of research and alot more "askin' around" and 3" with a cross connect seems to be the way to go on a BBC. There's a guy on Ebay that sells Stainless Borla's for $150 a pair. I bought them and they look good. I trust Borla for a good sound but I haven't tried them out yet.
