A local radiator shop told me today that all I had to do to put a four core in a 72 blazer is to swap the rubber mounts, I don't think this is true? Who knows the answer? also If I need new brackets where can I get them?

You'll need the brackets.

You will need all four brackets with rubbers.

And the lower brackets are usually riveted in place.

Have seen these offered on the board from time to time, and ebay.

and you will probably have to modify the radiator support at the bottom lip. The turned up lip will have to be bent down to make room for the longer bracket. This is what the factory did to make it work, just bend it.

I got mine from the dealer. Bought four top mounts and then broke the weld on two of them to steal the "saddle" that the rubber sits in place and used those for the bottom.

Well yes as a matter of fact... I need a 72 rear air unit out of a Suburban...LOL I use to have one, but I didn't have the heart to part it out...

they are still available from gm the upper rad. support retainers 469850. lower rad. support retainers 3901448. the cushins are 15502586. maybe this will help.
