Brace question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

When doing the out cab ext. and the rocker panels,do you have to put braces in to keep the cab from warping,when the cab is still on the frame.Or is it just an precautionary step to prevent what could happen?

I would still brace it any time you remove any major support members or body panels.
