helicoil question
i have a stripped intake bolt that is going to require a helicoil. the local lowes hardware store doent carry them. what stores sell them and how much do they usually go for?

Most autoparts stores should have or be able to get them or one of the fasterner stores.
The kit with tap, coils and installer usually runs about 20 bucks for 5/16 or 3/8 you still need the correct drill bit as most kits don't have the drill bit in them. Here is a link to one of the best charts I have found for Helicoils. http://automotivefasteners.thomasnet...ad-repair-kits I spent part of today hunting the right size to repair the threads in a Holley carb.
