Re: 73-87 stereo system pics

I hope that soon I can do a write-up on stealth systems in our trucks. I know alot of you guys don't like all the flash and other stuff that a system like mine sports, so I'm working on something that will require no cutting, and minimal fabrication.

It will show you how to get some good sound for a low price without molesting sheet metal with a cutting tool.

Re: 73-87 stereo system pics

My doors and kicks are cut. The panel is a MDF base wrapped with carpet. The old panels had an MDF base with fiberglass forms and didn't look all that great, plus they scuffed easily.

Carpet doesn't scuff, scrape, or scratch. The white "trim" is made form white colored plexiglass.

Re: 73-87 stereo system pics

There's a sticky in the "Truck Audio" section that goes over it.

S&M Electro Tech in Blaine Minnesota. Everything but the exterior is brand new. New modern digital tuner, MP3, etc..

Was somewhat spendy, but well worth it IMO.

The Amp powers the 6x9's and the 6.5s. The head unit powers the dash speakers.

These are mounted in the rear cab corners, facing up.
Are those 3 1/2" speakers you have stuffed in the dash? I am thinking about installing the same set up in my 82
