front end lowering
Hey guys, today I got my 3/5 drop in the mail and im planning on starting it Saturday. It is from Western Chassis with front drop springs and a rear flip kit. I unerstand how to drop the rear but do not know what to do up front. Can anyone tell me what to do? I would greatly apreciate it! Thanks Jon.

he says to unbolt the control arms at the frame, but it may and probably would be easier to just unbolt the lower balljoint instead and let it hang from the bolts on the frame. if that makes sense |

1. jack up your front end and place jack stands.
2. remove wheels. 3. tap out/separate outer tie rod ends. 4. place jack under the lower a-arm and raise it to just touch the arm. 5. if you have sway bar, disconnect fromlower a-arms. 6. tapout/separate lower ball joint. 7. spring will cause lower arm to pop down on jack. 8. lower jack and remove spring. 9. reverse process with new springs. don't forget to check your front end components and make sure you have good ball joints, tie rods, bushings. this is great time to replace them if they are old. make sure to repack those joints too. finally, take truck to alignment shop and have it checked for proper alignment. good luck! |
