Re: my 80 build

i agree, but in the winter time it really sucked, especially not having a way to defrost the windows...so my challenge was to figure out how to hook up the ducting to the stock defrost vents...(used a lot of duct tape). but i mounted mine so the vents faced up, and i have two 90* pvc elbows attached to the outlets on the heater so that the hoses run straight through the firewall. haven't tested it yet..but i'm sure it will work. just haven't been motivated to get under there and do it yet, been working on other stuff

sounds cool the next purchase will be new tires since I put a couple thousand mile on a unaligned front end they sure wore out the year old tires fast now I need to decided if I still want to run 215/70/15s

u know i've thought of an idea. u know how you and i are doing our dashes, i wondering if a guy couldn't weld in a piece where the plastic gauge bezel goes and have that all one piece. i think that would look pretty slik., what you think?

Re: my 80 build

after not being able to drive my truck for about two weeks with bad fuel pump went got a replacement fuel pump, a metal fuel filter to mount after the tank, and new fuel hose and after install the truck fired wright up with good fuel pressure, the drove it around a little (30 miles) and I started smelling gas so I took it home and checked the lines and there was gas dripping so loosed the line and i forgot to wrap Teflon tape around the tread I tightened it back up and no more drips

Re: my 80 build

use thread sealer instead of teflon tape if you have to... the tape will start dissolving with the gas and gunk stuff up.
