It may depend on which holes are being used for the front motor mounts (usually depends on what engine is installed). I had to drill new holes for my 700r4 crossmember. I'd just install the tranny, bolt the crossmember to it and see where the holes end up. You might get lucky... LockDoc

Re: ece tranny mount install???
If it was a 3-speed before the manual trans mount is riveted to the frame, but not positive they didn't go ahead and drill the holes for suto mount anyways?? As said above install eveything where you want it and drill holes as necessary.

Re: ece tranny mount install???
Here's something that helped me find out if I needed to drill new holes in my truck for the new crossmember, also from ECE. We took the dimensions from previous tranny and engine combos that I knew were installed in the 67-72 trucks. And took measurements from my combo 396 Big block with a 2004R, and see if i got match. Luckily I did, and when I went into installing the tranny and engine, everything bolted up with no new holes to drill. Here is a website that i used
http://www.tciauto.com/Products/TechInfo/trans_dims.asp Hope that helps and good luck.
