Transmission pan

I'm thinking about replacing my OEM tranny pan. . . wiht a deeper, 'finned' one. Anyone have any preference in size? Is 3" enough?

Also, (just an FYI) I figured out my oil leak problem (DOH!) I dropped the oil pan and sure enough, the previous owner had over-tighten the pan bolts, cauing it to warp out of shape around the holes. A piece of wood & a hammer fixed it, but I'm thinking about "going bigger" on a replacement - maybe 7qt?

Next major projecy; posi in the rear!
