does anybody have pics of lowered bb c10s with ece front springs?

i put a big block in my short fleet and can't decide wether or not to go with the 1" or 2" front springs? i plan on going with a 6" drop in the rear and have the early classic front 2.5" drop spindles. any pics should make up my mind. thanks jake

I built this little truck about 5 years ago. It has the ECE 6 inch rear kit, ECE front drop spindles, ECE 2 inch drop springs and a fully dressed big block engine.

Forgot the mention, 275/60 rear tires and 235/60 front tires. I used the smaller tires in the front because I like a raked look, not level stance.

You need to remember that tire and wheel inches is going to affect stance and look just as much as springs. I have front tires that are about as big as most people's back tires (275/60/R15)...but most people are not running the size of back tires that I am and they don't look funny on the front at all. There is an overall look to be considered.......also agree with the firefighter: you gotta have a little "rake"!!!

Re: does anybody have pics of lowered bb c10s with ece front springs?

The red and white truck is mine. It has ECE 5" drop rear spring and 1" drop BB front springs with a 2.5" drop spindle. The wheels are 15x10 and 15x8 with 275/60's and 255/60's respectively. It has a fully dressed 454 with factory A/C.

The blue GMC is my dads. His is dropped 4" in the rear with ECE springs. The front has stock BB front springs and 2.5" drop spindles. He is running the same wheel and tire combo as I am. The engine in his is a fully dressed 396 with Hot Rod Air A/C.

I hope this will give you an idea of what you want.

Re: does anybody have pics of lowered bb c10s with ece front springs?

I have JDM tubular lower A arms with a 3" stepped spring pocket and 2" BBC springs. The back has 6" springs and just a couple of plates totalling not even an inch. I also have an wedge shim to help with my pinion angle a bit. I guess you would call it around a 5/7 drop. My driveway makes it look like it sets high in the front but it's just the pic. This picture shows the stance and rake a little better even though it's with the smaller back tires (and no motor through the hood!) ;o)

Here's a few pics of mine. I've got a 402 big block in it. The suspension is all ECE. The front has 2" dropped spindles and 2.5" dropped springs. The rear has 6" dropped springs.

Re: does anybody have pics of lowered bb c10s with ece front springs?

I've got 255/60 15's all the way around. When the rear tires wear out, I want to get 275/60 15's for the rear. That would give it a little rake to the stance and a little more rubber on the rear. The truck is currently stripped down to just the cab for paint, but hopefully soon, I'll have some new pics. Hope this helps.
