i just bought a 69 c10 the other day and i got a real good steal on it
paid 300 bucks for it and drove it home, it has alot of body work that needs done but i drove it home, runs great had more than 300 bucks worth of parts in the bed i need to get a new motor the 307 just dont have enough power behind it but it does have something wierd about it, its a 3 speed on the floor, has anyone heard of it im pretty sure that some put that in there but i havent had any time to work on it yet but any input on that would be nice |

Re: what a buy
That does sound like a good buy.
Does the steering column look original? A lot of times the three on the floor used to be a three on the tree.

If it's an Illinois truck I'll bet it does need body work. What are you looking for in an engine? I may be able to help out.

Re: what a buy
Sounds like the original column. My bet is that it is the original tranny, with the floor shift conversion. Most of the three speeds were column shift.

Re: what a buy
lets not turn this into a parts thread. Not the time, nor the place.
To the original poster... for 3 bills, you got a VERY good deal. As for the shifter, it isn't stock. All three speeds were column mounted on these. |
