CPP tubular transmission help

I'm mounting the engine and 700r on a CPP tubular crossmember right now and the frame holes aren't lining up. Did anyone out there do this and have to drill out their own holes?

I had to drill new holes when I used that trans mount on my project truck with a 700r4 trans.

Even when I used the stock mount. I had to drill new holes. Different length trans, different holes.

IIRC, couldn't you reuse 4 of the 8 holes and just drill 4 additional holes? Or am I thinking of a different tranny member swap?

That's funny - I got that xmember so I didn't have to drill holes in the frame - mine is still in the box waiting for the 396/700r4 install later this summer...great - wish I would have known that prior to ordering one.
