aftermarket accessories
 I am in need of a tailgate protector and a molded bug shield for my son's 1971 C-10. Any suggestions?

You should be able to get a tailgate protector fairly easily, try a truck accessory store (4-wheel parts, etc) as far as the molded bug shield, are you referring to one that is "shaped"?? I am no expert, but I doubt you will find that anymore, when I worked at an accessory shop the 73-87's were hard enough to get. I think that all you will find is a straight up style for that hood, you could try to search the web (E-Bay maybe??) Sorry thats all I got.
